Category Analyst

LaSalle Network is seeking a Category Analyst to join a leading global organization in the food industry. This entry-level role will play a key part in supporting raw material procurement and ensuring smooth documentation processes within the procurement team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.

This position is on-site in the western suburbs of Chicago with a hybrid schedule.

Category Analyst Responsibilities:

• Support raw material procurement through detailed documentation and process management
• Maintain accurate records, contracts, and supplier documentation
• Communicate effectively with internal teams (e.g., operations, supply chain) and external suppliers
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and global sourcing regulations
• Assist with data analysis and reporting for procurement activities
  
  

Category Analyst Requirements:

• Entry-level role – ideal for candidates with internship or limited work experience in procurement, supply chain, or business operations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook);
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred
