LaSalle Network is hiring on behalf of a rapidly growing leader in the automotive space, seeking a Compliance Manager to join their team as they are expanding their footprint nationally. This organization has tripled in size in the last few years, owning the market share in automotive trade.
The Compliance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that the business operates in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This individual be responsible for overseeing both the buying and selling processes, ensuring transparency, and making sure the organization complies with industry standards.
Compliance Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee, maintain, and update compliance policies and procedures
- Ensure the organization adheres to local, state, and federal laws, as well as industry-specific regulations (such as those related to the sale of vehicles, property, or equipment)
- Coordinate internal and external audits related to compliance
- Respond to audits, prepare, and review responses to requesting parties
- Identify and assess risks associated with non-compliance in all aspects of the auction process
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk and minimize their impact on the company; Continuously monitor risk factors and adjust strategies as needed
- Ensure that all employees are informed about legal requirements and internal policies concerning fair bidding practices, payment processing, and disclosure of material information
Compliance Manager Requirements:
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- 4 years of experience in compliance, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Working experience with dealer licensing laws, Federal Trade Commission regulations, consumer protection laws, sales tax and registration, etc.
- Automotive insurance and claims experience preferred.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Sharepoint.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
