Controller

LaSalle Network is partnering with a premier specialty construction client north of Dallas, looking to hire a Controller. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial operations within specific construction segments. This role will involve managing Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, budgeting, forecasting and providing strategic financial insights to enhance performance and profitability.

Controller Responsibilities:

• Oversee the P&L for assigned segments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing actionable insights
• Monitor financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities to enhance profitability and operational efficiency
• Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and recommendations for strategic decision-making
• Work closely with project managers and operational teams to provide financial guidance and support for project planning and execution
• Implement cost control measures and analyze project costs to ensure financial efficiency
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls within the segment
• Mentor and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
  
  

Segment Controller Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field
• CPA required
• Experience within the construction, engineering, manufacturing or utility industries required
• 8 years professional experience in similar role
• Strong expertise with GAAP and SOX
• Exposure to authorization of expenditure preferred
• Strong proficiency in financial software/ERP systems
