Electrical Project Manager

LaSalle Network has a great opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer located in Chicago, IL. This is a direct hire position and hybrid. If you are looking to grow your career with your Electrical Engineering degree, this is for you!

Electrical Project Engineer Responsibilities:

• Manage the design and review of solar system drawings including electrical interconnection, modeling, and performance data
• Review technical equipment specifications and conceptual/detailed design including analysis of load flow, voltage drop, arc flash and integration of protective relay systems and controls
• Procure major electrical components and manage expectations with vendors
• Prepare and review single lines, electrical block diagrams, power, and instrumentation plans
• Assess project structural considerations and interconnect issues
• Coordinate various engineering related activities (studies, surveys, etc.)
• Review engineering work to ensure compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, safety practices, technical specifications, and contractual requirements
• Review technical portions of RFP and contract documents
• Act as liaison with Project Management on matters relating to engineering progress, quality, scope issues on projects as well as interface with customers on technical questions/concerns
• Support the preparation of sales proposals and needs relative to quoting, design & follow up

Electrical Project Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required
• 1 years experience
• Solar or new construction project management experience preferred
• Proficiency in understanding solar system design (Heliosocpe, AutoCAD, PVsyst)
• NABCEP Design Specialist Certification preferred
• Knowledge of Electric (NEC) and Fire codes
• Critical and innovative thinking; attention to detail
• Experience with various solar panels and inverters
• Experience preparing electrical engineering design packages
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong written/verbal communication skills
