Are you passionate about creating a positive work environment and enhancing employee experiences? Our client is looking for a dynamic Employee Benefits & Engagement Manager to join their team. Our client's distribution platform provides services to mid-sized food manufacturers across the Midwest to enhance and streamline their distribution operations. This role reports to the Chief HR Officer and plays a pivotal part in managing employee benefits programs and driving engagement initiatives across multiple locations.
Employee Benefits & Engagement Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives and other employee benefits
- Oversee employee leave programs (PTO, FMLA, parental leave), ensuring compliance and efficiency
- Serve as the go-to person for employee benefits inquiries and problem resolution
- Partner with vendors and brokers to implement cost-effective benefits solutions
- Lead benefits education sessions and manage the annual open enrollment process
- Develop and execute strategies to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Organize employee events, recognition programs and team-building activities
- Conduct employee surveys, analyze results and work with leaders to enhance engagement
- Champion diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across all levels of the organization
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations related to benefits and engagement
- Maintain accurate records and provide actionable insights using engagement and benefits metrics
- Monitor industry trends to recommend innovative practices
Employee Benefits & Engagement Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 4 years of experience in benefits administration and employee engagement
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and compliance requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
- Ability to travel locally weekly and quarterly to locations outside of Chicago
