My client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the operational workstream for a Gift Card Rollout initiative. This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and ensuring a seamless launch of the gift card program across multiple channels. The ideal candidate has a strong background in project management, operations, and retail/payment systems.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of the operational workstream, ensuring project milestones are met
- Work closely with internal teams (Operations, IT, Finance, Customer Service, Compliance) and external vendors to ensure alignment on project deliverables
- Establish and refine operational workflows related to gift card issuance, activation, redemption and fraud prevention
- Ensure the gift card program adheres to all regulatory, security, and fraud prevention standards
- Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for operational processes and support the go-live phase
- Identify potential operational risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Define key success metrics, track performance, and optimize post-launch operations
Project Manager Requirements:
- 3 years of project management experience, preferably in retail, e-commerce or financial services
- Experience leading operational workstreams for payment, gift card, or loyalty program implementations
- Strong understanding of payment processing, POS systems, and fraud prevention
- Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset
- PMP or Agile certification is a plus
