Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst

LaSalle Network is partnering with an automation manufacturing company that is seeking a Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst to join their growing team. This individual will play a key role in month-end closing, cost accounting, and providing financial insights across multiple business segments. The position is based in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and would be on a hybrid schedule.

Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly close process by preparing accurate journal entries, financial statements, and variance narratives in accordance with internal deadlines
• Handle accounting activities for multiple value streams, ensuring completeness and accuracy in the general ledger
• Conduct detailed account reconciliations and ensure proper documentation is available to support financial data
• Maintain internal financial records, ledgers, and journals for all transactions
• Support the year-end audit by preparing schedules and assisting with auditor requests
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling projects
• Generate and distribute both routine and ad hoc financial reports as needed
• Analyze actual results versus budget and explain key variances with actionable insights
• Contribute to short-term cash flow forecasting efforts and provide analysis on liquidity planning
• Act as a resource for other departments, delivering financial guidance and reporting support
• Take on additional assignments and process improvement initiatives as needed
  
  

Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; 4 to 7 years of experience in an accounting or financial analyst role
• Strong grasp of U.S. GAAP and general accounting concepts
• Prior experience in manufacturing or cost accounting and working within multi-entity structures is highly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with SAP, SAGE, Tagetik, or Qlik is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
