Senior Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage large-scale, long-term engineering initiatives focused on optimizing mechanical systems and components
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions
- Design experiments, lead feasibility studies, and implement engineering solutions that enhance performance, efficiency and quality
- Work closely with engineers, technicians, and production teams to drive projects forward, share expertise and guide maintenance teams through complex challenges
- Develop and document SOPs for new solutions, ensuring consistency and reliability across operations
- Spearhead improvement projects to reduce scrap rates, increase throughput, and eliminate inefficiencies
Senior Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, plus 6 years of experience tackling tough manufacturing challenges.
- Hands-on experience optimizing equipment, processes, and materials with advanced knowledge of thermoforming, injection molding, and other production techniques.
- Skilled in statistical and quality methodologies like SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and DOE.
- Expertise in technical plans, blueprints, and the practical application of engineering principles.
- Strong verbal and written skills to effectively convey technical information to diverse teams.
- Exceptional ability to juggle priorities and manage complex projects with minimal supervision.
