LaSalle Network is looking for a Sr. Procurement Analyst, COE for one of our CPG industry leaders, specifically within food/beverage and confectionary. The Sr. Procurement Analyst, a member of the Procurement Center of Excellence (COE), will be a critical member of the procurement team providing analytical rigor and technical expertise to produce fact-based information supporting a world class Procurement Team with dynamic requirements. This role partners with internal Procurement managers, collaborates with the external supplier community as well as internal cross functional teams. This highly visible role is responsible for partnering with internal Procurement managers and collaborating with the external supplier community in addition to internal cross functional teams to ensure data accuracy, improve sourcing decisions, increase forecast accuracy, drive audit compliance, and arrive at practical solutions for business challenges.
Sr. Procurement Analyst, COE Responsibilities:
- Reports to Director of Procurement Center of Excellence (COE), supporting strategic sourcing, global supplier quality, and replenishment procurement professionals. Works with other procurement managers as well as team members from other departments including Material Planning, Production Planning, Demand Planning, Material Management, Master Data, IT, and Finance.
- Reviews the daily Purchase Order Price Exceptions report to correct any potential purchase order errors prior to goods receipt.
- Aggregates and distributes the weekly Blocked Purchase Order Report to the Procurement Team weekly for resolution to ensure supply continuity by resolving any potential supplier payment issues in addition to resolving assigned blocked purchase order issues.
- Reviews Procurement month-to-date PPV Report daily to resolve purchase order errors and record reasons for pricing variances versus standard cost.
- Manage Cost Savings Trackers for the Procurement Team so that Project Cost Savings can be tracked and accurately reported.
- Reports on Indirect and Direct Procurement spend.
- Maintains existing purchase orders and contracts for updates in pricing and pricing conditions as required.
- Maintains Procurement Master Data in SAP for the Procurement Team including Source Lists, Purchasing Information Records (PIR), and Outline Agreements (OA).
- Works with Master Data Team to maintain Procurement Classifications, govern master data rules, support commercialization projects, and changes to master data.
- Provides analytical support for Procurement Sourcing Events including creating complex Excel spreadsheets to analyze supplier bids which assists in contract award selection.
- Maintains the Master Supplier Email contact list for both individual and mass supplier communications.
- Work with suppliers to collect data needed for the business.
- Ad hoc requests as needed to support the Procurement team.
Sr. Procurement Analyst, COE Requirements:

- Must be able to work with suppliers and internal partners to resolve issues in a timely and positive manner.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.

- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-moving environment and make sound decisions.
- Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience- preferably in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance or Accounting
- 3 years' experience in Procurement, Analytics, or Finance
- High proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including Advanced Excel skills, and experience with both PowerPoint and Word
- Solid analytic background in problem solving (mathematical, statistical, P&L analysis)
- Strong organizational, communication, problem solving, and research abilities are necessary.
- Excellent time management skills and method-based approach to project management
- Experience extracting data, developing reports, and articulating findings/results to internal customers preferred.
- Ability to work independently on new assignments which require report/project development researching the correct data sources and solutions with manager alignment.
- Prior SAP experience preferred.
