What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at LaSalle Property Management, LLC?
Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall day-to-day maintenance of the community and community-owned homes.
Maintenance Technician must have the necessary skills to effectively complete tasks as outlined below, can follow oral and written instructions and must be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in maintaining community curb appeal by grounds pick-up, sweeping and light landscaping
- Under the guidance of the Manager and Maintenance Supervisor, schedule and complete community-wide preventative maintenance program
- Assist in making ready units for new move-ins and conduct service repair calls for all community owned homes
- On a regular basis inspect all vacant community owned homes and report any damage
- Light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, painting, sewer routing
- Repair and/or replace bathroom fixtures such as sinks, toilets and showers; kitchen fixtures and appliances, doors and cabinets; walls, carpeting, flooring, and windows; indoor plumbing
- Prioritize with Maintenance Supervisor all service requests
- Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance, when needed
- Community mowing, where applicable
- Community snow-plowing where applicable
- Maintain all daily maintenance-related logs
- Follow established guidelines for proper maintenance of community vehicle(s) and equipment
- Follow established guidelines as it relates to safety rules and regulations in accordance with Company policy and OSHA requirements
- Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies
- General Requirements:
- Work hours are typically M-F, 8 am-4:30 pm with weekends off (except for emergency on call rotation)
- Must be able to lift, pull, push and carry up to 60 pounds
- Able to effectively communicate with residents, vendors, contractors, employees and supervisors
- Ability to use various power and hand tools.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the Duties and Responsibilities listed above. Maintenance Technician must have a valid driver's license and must be able to lift, pull, push and carry up to 60 pounds.
Education/Experience:High School Diploma or GED and Valid Driver’s License required
