Description
Compiles, assembles, processes and maintains medical records in a correct, prescribed order. Maintains medical records in such a way that they are complete and available for ongoing patient care. As a member of the total patient care team, must cooperatively and effectively meet organizational work standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Obtains and prepares medical records for scanning process.
- Determine correct scanning settings to ensure quality of each document scanned.
- Scan documents into patient’s electronic medical record and files them in the appropriate folders.
- Assign all incoming reports, i.e. labs, consults, to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Assists with processing of all release of information requests as per the established workflows.
- Other responsibilities as requested by management.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be flexible and able to work independently.
- Must demonstrate proficiency using computer and electronic imaging technology.
