Job Title: Warehouse Driver

Salary: $23 - $28/Hour, Full Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Work Hours: Mon – Fri; typically 6:00 am to 2:30 pm but can occasionally vary with an earlier start

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

The Driver position is an essential part of our company building a bridge to our jobsites, customers and vendors. This role is responsible for safely driving a commercial truck delivering supplies to jobsites in a professional and timely manner.

Essential Functions:

• Accurately verify, arrange, and safely secure load for designated deliveries at the start of each day and after each delivery.
• Safely drive commercial vehicles delivering materials and goods to or from locations.
• Maneuver vehicle into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
• Communicate effectively with site personnel to ensure deliveries are made to the correct location and meet requirements.
• Collect payments from customers, accurately record transactions on customer receipt, and securely deliver back to Laser Electric.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure trucks are kept clean and well maintained per maintenance instructions. Maintain vehicle logs and cargo record.
• Follow all road regulations and drive safely and courteously as a representative of Laser Electric, Inc. Using navigation system, read maps and follow directions; report delays, accidents, or traffic issues.
• Additional duties may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: High school graduate or GED.
• Must possess a valid California C Class Driver’s License & a clean driving record.
• Must have at least 5 years of driving experience with a Class C License or higher.
• Required to follow traffic laws and safety procedures for transporting goods, including hazardous materials.
• Forklift certified is preferred.
• The ability and experience to use equipment, such as forklifts and dollies as needed.
• This role will drive and work in varying weather conditions.
• Must have the ability to perform physical activities that require repeatedly moving your whole body, such as, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, walking, and handling of materials.
