Laser Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to produce high-quality laser cut parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Operate laser cutting machines to fabricate parts based on engineering drawings and specifications.
• Set up and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance.
• Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet specified tolerances.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
• Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers to verify dimensions of finished parts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience with the following skills:

• Proficiency in operating tooling and machinery including , and plasma cutting equipment.
• Familiarity with welding, press brake machines, lathes, or milling machines is a plus.
• Experience using hand tools effectively in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• A solid understanding of machining principles and practices is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 48 per week
