What are the responsibilities and job description for the Permanent Makeup Artist (PMU) position at Lashes Downtown?

We are looking for a talented, dynamic, friendly, outgoing, career-orientated, proficient and highly skilled permanent makeup artist with two years of experience to join our Lashes Downtown team. Applicant must have a complete knowledge of the permanent makeup industry. This individual must be passionate about his/her work, always strive for perfection, and have a strong desire to constantly learn and improve their technique. Must provide photos of permanent makeup work to be considered.
Responsibilities
o Consult with clients before treatment to ensure their needs are being met and that they are a good candidate.
o Determine the correct material and application according to skin tone and pigments.
o Understanding and performing sanitation and sterilization standards.
o Proudly promote work on social media.
o Initiates self-learning and is comfortable with educating clients on procedures and services offered.
o Exceptional knowledge of industry trends and a high level of expertise in permanent makeup services.
o Maintain constant communication with co-workers.
o Update customer account with notes of services performed.
o Ensure cleanliness of room at the beginning, during, and at the end of shift.
o Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to first scheduled appointment to prepare room and review the client list for the day.
o Be available for any team meetings that are regularly scheduled on a monthly basis.
Skills/Requirements
o Proven 1 plus years of experience as a permanent makeup artist.
o Experience in semi-permanent eyeliner and lip blush is a plus but not required
o Knowledge of permanent makeup techniques
o Experience working with different skin types
o Must have permanent makeup artist certificate/license
o Must be able to provide a strong portfolio of before, after, and healed brows work
o Must have valid Bloodborne Pathogen Certification
o Understanding of health and safety rules
o Great communication and interpersonal skills
o Artistic personality and manual dexterity
o Attention to detail
o Patient with a positive attitude
o Provide social media link of your permanent makeup work

Pay: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
