What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Lead 2nd Shift position at Lasko Products?
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Manages maintenance work requests from production floor, determines priority and assigns a technician
- Ensures team members comply with all safety and good manufacturing practices
- Communicates to production and quality assurance equipment break downs and estimated time needed to complete repairs
- Confers with vendors, management, engineering and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment
- Audits work of team members to ensure job standards are met.
- Conveys all worker grievances to maintenance supervisor or manager.
- Conducts meetings at the beginning of each shift to update incoming maintenance personnel on status of break downs, repairs, and troubleshooting done during the night shift.
- Steps in and helps when needed to troubleshoot and fix equipment breakdowns quickly.
- Manages equipment PM tasks and assigns work and priority for PMs.
- Supports nights and weekend shifts when issues arise and comes in for support when necessary
- Tracks down sources for spare parts and places orders for replacements
- Holds technicians accountable for complying with company policies
- Identifies training opportunities for the maintenance department
- Coordinates damaged parts to be sent out for repair and manages the turn-around time
- Works with department managers and machine operators to service their maintenance needs from the department in a timely fashion
- Coordinates with Maintenance Manager on maintenance overtime project work to be done
- Ensures that equipment support is called for any breakdowns lasting more than 4 hours
- Helps manage storeroom inventory by ensuring the maintenance department checks out any parts used from the storeroom.
