Description
Position Summary
To clean and sanitize equipment and plant as weekly schedule allows. The sanitation technician is responsible for paperwork and verification.
Primary Responsibilities
Follow the Master cleaning schedule and allow for time to sanitize and clean production areas/equipment as needed
Responsible for the equipment cleaning requirements based on regulatory requirements (i.e. USDA, FDA, SQF, and other agencies as required) and elimination of contamination.
- Participation in pre-op for USDA
- ATP swabbing
Responsible for the disconnection and connection of all equipment.
Responsible for the equipment functions and routine maintenance in regards to cleaning.
Troubleshooting sanitation equipment and knowing chemical usage
Work closely with other departments.
Responsible for being flexible in regards to production scheduling and sanitation needs.
All other necessary duties as assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications
High School Diploma required
Preventative Controls Training
Frequent lifting of material up to and including 100 pounds
Ability to push or pull materials in excess of 200 pounds or more
Must be able to work with chemicals that will give off odors
Regularly required to talk, hear, and see
Manual dexterity with ability to reach with both hands
Experience in high paced work environment
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and budget time accordingly
Must understand basic safety issues and used to implement safety programs
Must be able to work in a hot, humid environment.
