Description
Position Summary
- Responsible for daily operations within the Warehouse
Primary Responsibilities:
SUPERVISE WAREHOUSE PERSONNEL:
- Supervise Warehouse picking staff
- Assign starting times for Warehouse picking staff
- Verify and approve timecards for Warehouse picking staff
- Approve or deny time off request as business dictates
- Ensure the highest level of work ethics
- Conduct Monthly one on one Huddles with direct reports
- Set goals and objectives for direct reports
- Review direct reports’ performance in the Monthly Huddle
WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS DUTIES:
- Prepare orders for warehouse team to pick before the beginning of each shift
- Verify inspection books are filled out properly with sign-off(s)
- Coordinate that trailers are in proper locations for daily picking
- Verify and ensure adequate supply of pallets
- Manage and verify proper working order of all hand-held scanners and necessary equipment:
- Coordinate necessary repairs
- Practice safety procedures of “Lock Out/Tag Out” as required
- Upload and organize photos into database; ensure year, customer, date shipped and PO#
- Obtain picking data from previous workday; review and post for pick team to view
- Address and manage concerns regarding sales personnel requests/issues for warehouse items
- Ensure returns are being placed into inventory and recorded properly
- Manage cleaning functions of warehouse; ensure swept and clean floors at all times
- Responsible for closing of warehouse at end of shift(s): lights out, doors locked and equipment charged
ORDER REVIEWS:
- Verify pick ticket issues before processing and sign-off
- Review “short” items to assure there is nothing missing
- Coordinate warehouse orders for picking with proper staff for On-Time accurate shipping
- Audit and document 25% of DSD orders daily
- Audit 100% of Heinens’ orders
FOOD SHOW AND DEMO RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the picking of demo orders with proper personnel
- Prepare all items for food shows
- Chef Equipment
- Booth and all of its contents to include display banners, etc.
- Necessary Demo food items
- Ensure 100% accuracy for items that are picked and staged
- Work closely with chefs, and food show support personnel in their needs from Warehouse
- Ensure preparation of items for shipping with proper wrap and support
- Document and photograph all items for food shows
- Document in writing to proper parties any special instructions
- Upon return of Food Show items:
- Ensure food product(s) are checked in and returned to stock
- Ensure paperwork is sent to food show representative
- Ensure Booth(s) and equipment is returned back to proper location in warehouse
Qualifications
- BS or BA in Business Management and/or minimum of 2 years related experience in Warehousing Procedures and management
- Proven experience in supervisory duties
- Knowledgeable of Inventory Control processes
- Able to lift 50 lbs. plus ( )
