Company Overview
We are looking for a part-time Front Office Patient Coordinator who will be a dynamic part of our team. The ideal candidate MUST have *dental experience* and thorough knowledge in scheduling, treatment plan presentation, phone etiquette and reception, and a high level of customer service experience. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is friendly, positive, people-oriented and who has exceptional communication skills. While this is currently a part-time position, there will be opportunity for full-time hours within the year.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, solution-oriented, have a high level of personal accountability and follow-through. This person will work closely with our Director of Operations. The ideal candidate wants to be a part of our team and will want to occasionally participate in voluntary team building events like Wednesday yoga, Railyard Dawgs games, or paddling the James to name a few. Opportunities may be earned to experience paid travel to conferences.

Summary
As a Patient Coordinator at LAT Dentistry, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from scheduling appointments to managing patient records. This role is vital in supporting our commitment to high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist with the check-in process.
- Schedule appointments efficiently while considering patient needs and preferences.
- Manage patient records accurately using Carestack and other software systems.
- Verify insurance information and assist patients with understanding their coverage.
- Coordinate communication between patients and dental staff regarding treatment plans and follow-ups.
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain an organized filing system for patient documents and records.
- Support the dental team in administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a dental office is REQUIRED.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Familiarity with Carestack or similar dental practice management software is essential.
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
