PROJECT MANAGER
Reports To:
The project manager will report to the senior project managers and the company’s upper management.
Job Overview:
To manage all projects to the complete satisfaction of our customers and provide mentorship and guidance to the company’s office and field personnel in alignment with our company mission and values. The project manager shall develop proficiency in this role and is encouraged to develop goals/plans for career advancement.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Responsible for understanding the project scope, budget and schedule.
2. Schedule and direct office/field team in the completion of projects.
3. Responsible for project specific decision making and applying proper land surveying practices and techniques.
4. Review of final product for accuracy and completeness.
5. Develop goals/plan for career advancement. For Example: education, training, professional licensure, etc.
6. Guide and mentor the company’s office/field personnel.
7. Research properties, plot deeds, plats, easements, etc. as needed.
8. Setup and prepare construction calculations for staking.
9. Pull monument records for field search.
10. Create and setup Trimble TBC projects for field work.
11. Export/Import field data to drawings.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma.
2. 5 years survey/CAD technician experience.
3. Strong math skills.
4. Proven proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and TBC.
5. Proven proficiency handling drawings with 100 viewports and hundreds of layers.
6. Proven proficiency applying principles and practices of land surveying.
7. Proven proficiency deciphering horizontal/vertical datums and coordinate systems.
8. Proven proficiency understanding and deciphering construction plans.
9. Proven proficiency carrying out written and oral instructions.
10. Proven proficiency communicating effectively.
11. Proven proficiency keeping files well organized.
12. Strong attention to detail.
13. Team oriented.
14. Client focused.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Land Surveying or related degree.
2. LSI, or PLS registration
3. Survey crew chief experience.
4. GIS experience (ArcView).
5. UAV software processing experience (Pix4D, Virtual Surveyor).
