Part Time Pet Sitter/Dog Walker

This is a VERY part time position. Due to the nature of our work, we work in 30 minute increments (visits to our clients' homes). We keep our team members within a 10 minute drive time from our visits to minimize mileage costs.

Latchkey Pets offers daytime dog walking and vacation pet sitting services throughout the Kansas City metro area. Team members are required to be a high energy and positive asset of the business committed to caring for pets of all sizes. Latchkey Pets and its team members must be committed to providing our customers the highest level of care and services. Providing exceptional services means our clients can relax and feel safe while they are away and know their pets are being well taken care of.

Job Requirements include:

• Must be an animal lover.
• Must be trustworthy and reliable with flexible availability.
• Must have a flexible schedule that allows you to accommodate occasional pet visits in the early morning, midday, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must have your own dependable transportation.
• Must be prompt and punctual for all visits and/or meet & greets.
• Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of our clients including their house codes, keys, addresses. This includes keeping any client’s house keys in a secure location while they are in your possession.
• Must be physically able to handle requirements of the position that can include, but are not limited to, walking or lifting large dogs, cleaning up bodily waste, dealing with muddy yards, etc.
• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions--light rain, snow, etc.
• Must be able to maintain a professional relationship with the client and all Latchkey Team Members.
• Must have access to Google Calendar and Google documents for scheduling and client information.
• Must pass a background check

During each pet visit you are expected to:

• Arrive promptly for the visit at the time requested by the client
• Follow all directions left by client including feeding, treats, clean-up, medicating, play time, etc.
• Play and bond with all pets per client’s request which can include: playing in yard, walking, cuddling, playing with toys, refreshing food/water cleaning up waste, etc.
• Communicate professionally to client via text after each visit letting the client know how the visit went and if they should be aware of anything regarding the visit.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
