Latent is tackling critical challenges in the robust and dependable integration of Medical Intelligence. Health systems across the US rely on our multi-modal search platform to provide precise answers to sensitive queries regarding patient data. Our advanced question answering technology positions us at the forefront of state-of-the-art (SOTA) medical QA. By meticulously analyzing EHR records, our flagship product identifies the most relevant information, significantly reducing operational overhead within healthcare.
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, including :
Fine-tuning cutting-edge open-source models using innovative QA techniques
Developing extractive highlighting techniques over patient notes
Creating multi-modal clinical embeddings
Taking models from inception to training, validation, and serving at scale and speed!
This is a full-time position, based in our San Francisco office.
Qualifications :
To excel in this role, you will need :
A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, an adjacent STEM degree, or equivalent experience in research and deployment of language models
Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
Experience fine-tuning large language models (LLMs)
A proven track record of transitioning ML systems from training to production
Bonus : Experience working in fast-paced environments and contributions to ML research papers
