Direct Support Professional – Adult Program
Join us as a Direct Support Professional and make a meaningful impact by providing personalized care and support to individuals in community residences. You'll play a vital role in empowering individuals by developing life skills, fostering community engagement, promoting healthcare practices, and facilitating social and recreational activities. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the safety and cleanliness of common areas, preparing nutritious meals using provided recipes and menus, and supporting individuals with their daily living needs.
Requirements for this role include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to compassionately manage individuals in crisis situations. You'll also have the opportunity to attain MAP certification for medication administration. Latham provides a paid two-week Orientation program for all new employees upon hire.
We are hiring multiple candidates for this position and offering Part-time and Full-time positions.

Compensation: $18.82 per hour
***Weekend differential $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 7am Saturday through 6:59am Monday! ***

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals
- Implement the current designated diets & menu, following dietary restrictions.
- Administer medications.
- Conduct awake/ asleep fire drills.
- Ensure overall cleanliness of the home. Assist and support residents with residential responsibilities, to include proper cleanliness of common and personal space for safety and health.
- Implement all support/behavior plans for individuals in the home.
- Attend all mandatory trainings and keep certifications current.
- Attend meetings and supervisions.
- Effectively communicate with other staff, including outside providers, regarding individual’s status and progress.
- Provide therapeutic crisis intervention when needed.
- Complete appropriate Therap documentation daily.
- Transport clients as necessary.
- Support individual activities in the community, such as personal needs shopping or banking.
- All other responsibilities as requested by supervisor.
- Any work assigned shall be related to the Employee’s normal duties, except for occasional emergencies.
Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills and professional appearance and demeanor are all required for this position.
