We are looking for a Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations and ensure the timely and precise processing of employee compensation and benefits. Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing and related tax laws and regulations.
- Payroll experience in a unionized environment is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to supervise and mentor a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and confidentiality.

Location: Yarmouth Port, MA (Hybrid)
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8a-4p (flexible)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & Supervise: Oversee the Payroll Specialist and manage the timely processing of biweekly payroll. Conduct performance evaluations and ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Partner with HR, Business Office, and third-party payroll providers to ensure smooth and compliant payroll operations.
- Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure adherence to wage laws, tax regulations, and internal policies while managing payroll, benefits deductions, and reconciliations.
- Process Optimization: Work with vendors to implement efficiencies that reduce manual processes and address any technical challenges.
- Data Integrity: Ensure accurate payroll data coding and support audits by providing detailed payroll records and reconciliations.
- Employee Support: Serve as the go-to resource for payroll-related inquiries and promptly resolve issues.
