Job Description
As a Case Manager at Latham & Martin, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients and attorneys throughout the legal process. This position requires a detail-oriented, client-focused individual with a strong ability to multitask and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
Primary Responsibilities
Client Interaction:
- Conduct monthly telephone calls with clients to check on treatment progress and provide updates.
- Return client calls and emails promptly (same day or next day during the work week).
- Explain the legal process and address client questions with care and professionalism.
Case Management:
- Input case details into the firm’s case management software and ensure accuracy of intake information.
- Monitor client medical treatment and track case milestones.
- Set up claims with insurance companies, send letters of representation, and request policy limit information.
Documentation and Communication:
- Save and file all correspondence, including emails, mail, and faxes.
- Request and manage client photographs, police reports, witness information, medical records, and billing.
- Compile lost income documentation and process claims for no-fault benefits (e.g., Med Pay).
- Maintain lien documentation (health insurance, workers’ compensation, etc.).
- Prepare and organize demand packages for attorney review.
Administrative Tasks:
- Scan and file daily mail and receipts for invoices.
- Calendar deadlines and follow up on outstanding matters.
- Draft case-specific correspondence for attorney review.
Other Tasks:
- Conduct medical billing balance confirmations to prepare cases for settlement.
- Assist with opening files, including sending intake paperwork to clients and requesting crash scene investigations.

- Experience: Has 1–2 years of experience working in a law office, preferably in personal injury or a related field.
