Position Summary
The Business Operations II role is responsible for supporting and enhancing the operations efficiency of the organization by ensuring seamless execution of day-to-day activities. This role involves coordinating cross-functional efforts to support the overall business performance.
Position Responsibilities
Office and Building Management:
- Ordering and stocking office supplies and kitchen supplies
- Office logistics: meeting rooms, desks, copiers, etc
- Visitor support
- Mail sorting and filing
- Pick up and deliver new hire laptop to Latigo or ship to new hire
- Organize hard copies in the office
- Handle work orders and work with property managers
Lab Management and EH&S Support:
- Order and stock POU items for the lab
- Received and reconcile PO’s on tangible goods in the Procurement system
- Putting away receivables in the correct temp storage (i.e. -80, -40, ambient, etc.)
- Weekly registration of molecules
- Dry ice, CO2 and LN2 deliveries
- Order PPE and help with lab coat deliveries
- Service Contract renewals, scheduling and trackability
- Schedule equipment PM’s
- Help resolve safety compliance issues in lab and office
- Lab waste and chemical waste removal and tracking
- Eye wash and shower flushes
- Track and ordering POU and lab and deliver
- Filing for Hazardous waste documentation
- EH&S binders with documentation
- Chemical inventory
- Meeting minutes for EH&S monthly meetings
- Launch EH&S Trainings and track
Shipping and Receiving:
- Answering phone calls for deliveries
- Receiving packages
- Shipping packages
- Trips to FedEx or scheduling and meeting DHL for pickups
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years of experience in Business Operations or a similar role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multi-tasking and attention to details
- Works independently
- Strong communication skills
- Some EH&S knowledge or skills
- Can lift 40 pounds
