Position Description:
Latigo is seeking an exceptionally talented Program Lead to guide cross-functional development of our lead, clinical-stage, non-opioid pain program, LTG-001. This role will drive integrated operational planning and program strategy, including facilitation of clinical development plans, target product profiles, financial planning, and risk mitigation. A successful candidate will bring a high degree of emotional intelligence, a collaborative nature, relentless agility, and will credibly and enthusiastically work with leaders and teams across the spectrum of research, clinical, CMC, regulatory, commercial, and finance. This is a high-profile leadership role that will report directly to the SVP, Program and Portfolio Management.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and chair the LTG-001 Program Team, partnering with the Project Manager and cross-functional leaders to ensure team effectiveness and operational excellence
- Orchestrate and shape the integrated strategic and operational plan, identifying key issues and ensuring resolution
- Partner with leadership and key stakeholders to manage and guide program priorities amidst evolving internal and external environments
- Deliver on Program Goals, effectively prioritizing resources for successful implementation
- Architect scenarios to inform decision making and program planning
- Determine appropriate decision-making forums, and hold accountability and decision-making authority on integration of cross-functional strategies; ensure that key stakeholders are included in the decision-making process and that decisions are communicated to those responsible for execution
- Partner with Finance to provide strategic oversight for budgets and resourcing
- Establish processes and tools to facilitate program management and communication
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization required; Background in consulting and/or advanced degree (PhD, MBA) preferred
- Previous program leadership experience and experience with leading development of an innovative product strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of technical aspects of drug development combined with a refined business/financial acumen
- Strategic thinker and problem solver with a high degree of learning agility
- Outstanding communication skills with both internal and external audiences and excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
