Upper School Physics Teacher

Latin School of Chicago is looking for a full-time Upper School Physics Teacher starting Fall 2025. This position includes our generous benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Teach four classes within the Science department.
• 3 or more years teaching experience
• Collaborate with a team of teachers on curriculum and assessment.
• Reflect on teaching practice, often trying new approaches to create an equitable and engaging experience for all students in science.
• Value the opportunity to serve as a student advisor.
• Work with students outside of class for extra help or enrichment.
• Effectively communicate departmental philosophy and student performance with parents in writing grade reports and conducting parent-teacher conferences.
• Be an active member of the science department; participating in professional development opportunities and department meetings.
• Be an active member of the Upper School division; participating in division-wide committees, seeking and creating opportunities to collaborate with faculty beyond the department.
