Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) is a nonprofit organization that provides economic opportunities for Latinos in Minnesota by offering ongoing small business technical assistance, access to loan capital for business start-up or expansion, and training on business development topics. LEDC has been engaged in this work for more than two decades, and as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), can raise capital from a wide range of philanthropic, corporate, and governmental sources to then invest consistent with the mission, goals, and activities described above.
Position: Customer Service Associate/Front Desk Coordinator
Responsible to: Executive Director/Director of Operations
Employment Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
The Customer Service Associate (Front Desk Coordinator) serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This role involves acting as a liaison for all LEDC departments including business development, lending, agriculture, and general inquiries, ensuring smooth and efficient front desk operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients, visitors, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Assist the business development, lending, and agriculture team by scheduling meetings and coordinating appointments.
- Manage lending closing calendar
- Provide information and support to potential clients and partners.
- Maintain records of business development, lending activities and follow-ups.
- Assist the lending team with client inquiries and document processing.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for loan consultations.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and filed correctly.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Maintain office supplies and inventory
- Manage marketing materials in front office
- Manage mail and deliveries
- Manage all calls that come to the general line
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation.
- Assist with special projects/tasks, as assigned.
- Address client and visitor needs promptly and courteously.
- Maintain a database of clients; manage data requests; manage questionnaires and surveys that departments administer
- Handle complaints and provide solutions or escalate issues to the appropriate department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a front desk, customer service or administrative role.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office systems (Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish and English, a plus.
- Prior experience working in a non-profit organization, a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay range for this role is: $16.82 to $21.63 per hour
