Schedule: 4:30PM-3:30AM (Overtime and weekends as required)
Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Baler is responsible for performing sanitation duties in the Warehouse as set forth in Latitude 36 SOP’s and work instructions in compliance to USDA and FDA regulations and guidelines. The employee will be working with cleaning materials, tools and chemicals.

Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Baler is responsible for performing sanitation duties in the Warehouse as set forth in Latitude 36 SOP’s and work instructions in compliance to USDA and FDA regulations and guidelines. The employee will be working with cleaning materials, tools and chemicals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of relevant manufacturing experience a plus.
- USDA and FDA environment experience a plus.
- Ability and willingness to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure “Safety First” is always practiced and observes and adheres to all job safety rules.
- Scrubbing and cleaning including the exterior facility perimeter including Lot, exterior front entrance to warehouse, yards and docks etc.
- Cleaning buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and taking out all cartons from production floor.
- Cleaning spills and other hazards using squeegees and sponges.
- Provides regular cleaning of warehouse through dusting, mopping, and removing trash.
- Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition.
- Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls, windows and doors, and removing trash and recyclables.
- Use of chemical dilution system, ensuring right cleaning products used for specific tasks.
- Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Read and comprehend SDS for approved cleaning products.
- Performs specialized cleaning duties as needed.
- Abide by ALL good manufacturing practices (GMP).
- Ensure warehouse is always in SQF audit readiness.
- Daily recordkeeping of tasks performed as detailed on Master and Daily Cleaning Schedule (MSS Master Sanitation Schedule).
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Maintains cleaning supplies and orders as needed.
- Move heavy equipment, and supplies manually.
- Reports to supervisor any safety concerns observed in the workplace.
- Notifies management of any repairs needed.
- Ensure totes are dry and adequate to use for production
- Practice good personal hygiene and follow dress code for production and warehouse areas.
- The use of personal protective equipment is mandatory.
- Understanding of allergen and organic warehousing regulations.
- Abide by ALL Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and SOP’s
- Responsible for reporting food defense observations to Quality Teams
- Ability to drive the forklift in a safe manner.
- Complete other assignments as requested by leadership.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time with extensive walking and working in refrigerated coolers (32*).
- Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds or more frequently as needed.
- Repetitive lifting, push, pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting, climbing stairs.
- Fast pace manufacturing / packaging work environment.
