Compensation Details
Pay Rate: $20.75/hr.
Position Summary
We're looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our Warehouse Team! Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Clerk will partner closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure acceptable inventory levels. This role is the first line of defense for all supplier related issues, and is responsible for submitting orders to vendors, communicating order pickups within the organization, and addressing past due orders with vendors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months of Warehousing experience is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) is preferred.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of Shipping and Receiving experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of Bar Code Scanning experience is preferred.
- Multi-task and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Ability to work with changing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong customer relations skills for effective interdepartmental partnership.
- Ability to effectively communicate with other departments, vendors, and customers in person, by phone, and via email.
- Ability and willingness to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to receive written and verbal directions.
- Ability to understand and follow general work processes.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Ensure “Safety First” is always practiced and observes and adheres to all job safety rules.
- Abide by ALL Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Ensure warehouse is always in SQF audit readiness.
- Verify all paperwork is correct, completed, and signed by Warehouse team members.
- Able to follow the established SOPs for receiving, shipping, and transferring documentation, in addition to following any other instruction given by leadership.
- Able to correspond effectively and timely with all operational departments, customers, and vendors.
- Research errors and issues with inventory.
- Prepare and provide reports to supervisor and manager as needed.
- Maintain the warehouse office in organized and professional appearance.
- All other assignments, responsibilities, and projects as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements/Environment
- Fast-paced manufacturing/packaging work environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, twist, bend, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Normal vision, hearing sensitivity, and manual dexterity are necessary in position.
- Must be able to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
