We are looking for a Quality Inspector (Coatings) to join our 100% EMPLOYEE-OWNED team.

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Minimum Job Requirements

• Physical- Capable of lifting 50 lbs. safely or with assistance. Capable of standing and bending over for long periods of time while performing manual labor with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Working Hours- Fulltime Employment (40hrs/week)
• Personal Traits- Good communication skills with positive teamwork attitude. Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow direction and or work independently, able to multi-task and trouble shoot.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Timely completion of job functions. Responsible for producing quality workmanship, which meets or exceeds requirement. Responsible for final inspection of production parts. Adhere to AS9100 quality system. Authority to drive company forklifts and operate production equipment when trained. Responsible for routine maintenance as directed. On occasion, fill in to help powder paint parts. Help maintain powder equipment

• Work safely and ensure hazardous conditions are eliminated. Follow company safety procedures.
• Ensure the highest quality standards are met with all work done.
• Powder paint parts, when necessary, in conformance with specifications and meeting daily required assignments.
• Help operate and maintain powder paint equipment within the parameters of the company standards.
• Ensure that AS9100 quality system procedures are followed.
• Ensure output meets required deadlines while executing above.
• Act as a liaison between Quality and Production departments. Ensure cross departmental communication is accurate and effective.
• Final inspection and packaging of parts prior to delivery to customer.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on designated equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records.
• Prepare and requisition supply items when directed by supervisor.
• Accurately maintain MES system as instructed.
• Arrive to work in a punctual manner and be willing to work overtime when needed.
• Assist in monthly inventory process.
• Maintain neat and clean work area.
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to visually inspect parts with high attention to detail.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to differentiate between materials.
• Understand general manufacturing processes and how they contribute to overall part quality.
• Possess basic math skills including ability to read and use measure equipment such as tape measure, caliper and micrometer to the fraction and decimal.
• Ability to generate inspection reports and use computer automated measuring systems.
• General knowledge to perform routine and preventative maintenance and upkeep of designated equipment and instruments used.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform receiving inspection and final inspection

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years’ experience in similar function.
