Retail Agent / Cannabis Guide
a. Personnel Duties and Responsibilities
Among other duties, a Dispensary Agent within the Dispensary will do the following:
Ensure that products are properly arranged on shelves in the dispensary.
Ensure that patients and caregivers are not allowed to access MMJ on the sales floor. This shall be accomplished by escorting patients and caregivers onto the sales floor. Patients waiting for service will wait in the lobby until a cannabis guide is available.
Greet customers.
Find out the customer's needs.
Recommend, select and help locate the right merchandise.
Describe a product's features and benefits.
Answer customer queries regarding the dispensary and the merchandise.
Make suggestions and encourage purchase of products.
Receive and process cash, check and charge/credit payments.
Provide change and receipts.
Bag or package purchases.
Count money, sort charge slips and balance monies.
Stay current with sales prices.
Recognize and monitor security issues.
Keep merchandise area tidy.
Take stock of inventory.
Requisition of new stock.
Process medicine by utilizing the state certified scale to move flower weight from bulk to pre-packaged units for retail sale
Access to building alarm codes.
Perform daily inventory reconciliations at beginning and end of shift
b. Authority
A Dispensary Agent within the retail Dispensary is authorized to perform the following functions in the dispensary:
Create new patient records and update existing records.
Initiate sales/dispense medical marijuana.
Transport products to other dispensaries.
Access the area of the dispensary (and infusion kitchen and/or cultivation if applicable to their job function)
Access patient records.
Access all limited access areas and the secure vault when permitted.
Knowledge of building alarm codes.
c. Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous retail experience.
Ability to perform basic reading and math skills at or above an 11th grade skill level.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to satisfactorily pass a background and drug test.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Organized and able to manage the successful completion of tasks.
Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking.
d. Required Training
Sanitation; Security; Medical Director; HIPAA
e. Reporting:
The Retail DA reports to the Floor Leader or, in their absence, the Assistant General Manager.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
