Overview
The Inventory Specialist at Latitude Dispensary supports the Inventory Control Manager & METRC Administrator in ensuring full compliance with State and City rules pertaining to dispensary operations. This role assists in maintaining up-to-date compliance procedures, staying informed about industry regulations, and ensuring that all packaging staff associated with compliance procedures are properly trained.
Duties
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to maintain accuracy.
- Assist in the development of inventory control procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in managing all required DHS paperwork, including ensuring that every department head has the most recent logs and forms, has sufficient copies of physical paperwork, and understands when and why the form is needed.
- Support the Inventory Control Manager in coordinating and overseeing the monthly DHS MMJ Inventory reconciliation for all four departments.
- Assist in monitoring and auditing all METRC activity, including producing METRC manifests.
- Help manage all online/shared spreadsheets and logs, and back up files to Google Docs or Microsoft OneDrive.
- Support the Inventory Control Manager in overseeing the update of unit costs for kitchen and dispensary materials and packaging every 6 months.
Requirements
- Must be able to have open availability including overnights (10pm-6:30am)
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related field.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in utilizing Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Adequate office computer skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic bookkeeping experience is a plus.
- Preferably previous governmental compliance experience.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
