What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Latitude Inc?
The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and assisting with audits. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency with multiple Accounting Software's (i.e. Sage, QuickBooks, NetSuite).
\n- Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
- Manage general ledger (GL) activities, accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), and payroll processing.
- Assist with annual audits and implement recommendations to improve processes.
- Analyze monthly financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with team members to support various financial initiatives and projects.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field (must include 18 credits in accounting).
- Minimum of four years of professional accounting experience.
- Self-motivated with strong multitasking abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
