Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Controls Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in PLC programming, industrial automation, and control systems design. You will be responsible for developing, programming, testing, and supporting automated systems used in manufacturing and process environments. This position features 75% national travel.
\n- Design, develop, and implement control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron).
- Develop and modify HMI and SCADA interfaces for user interaction with machines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.
- Perform system testing and debugging, ensuring performance and safety compliance.
- Support startup and commissioning of control systems at customer or plant sites.
- Provide technical support and training for maintenance and operations teams.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control documentation.
- Ensure all systems comply with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NFPA, UL, CE).
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.
