The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in GovCon business development, with experience in the security technology sector being a significant advantage. Responsibilities :
- Strategic Planning and Execution :
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives within the GovCon sector.
- Identify and prioritize target markets, customers, and opportunities in alignment with company goals.
- Market Analysis and Research :
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities within the federal government sector.
- Analyze customer needs and pain points to develop tailored solutions that meet their requirements.
- Relationship Building :
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within federal agencies and government contractors.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to network and promote the company's offerings.
- Proposal Development and Management :
- Lead the development and submission of high-quality proposals, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are competitive and compliant with customer requirements.
- Sales and Revenue Growth :
- Drive the sales process from lead generation to contract award, ensuring the achievement of revenue targets.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and regularly update senior management on progress.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration :
- Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve team objectives.
