Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead and oversee our engineering team. This role requires knowledge of SolidWorks, with an emphasis on managing the design and development of complex systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving innovation and ensuring the successful execution of design projects, from concept through to production.
In addition to managerial responsibilities, this position involves hands-on design work, making technical contributions to projects and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
\n- Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Oversee project management, ensuring timely delivery of engineering tasks and adherence to budget constraints.
- Conduct performance reviews, manage resource allocation, and set team goals aligned with company objectives.
- System Design & Development:
- Utilize AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks to create detailed system designs, including 2D and 3D models, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Ensure all designs meet industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (such as product development, manufacturing, and procurement) to align designs with business needs and production capabilities.
- Technical Leadership:
- Participate in design reviews, offering technical insights and feedback to improve designs and optimize system performance.
- Ensure the integration of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and cost considerations throughout the development process.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in CAD technologies, and best practices in engineering management.
- Project Management:
- Develop and manage project timelines, work plans, and budgets for design initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on design objectives and project milestones.
- Identify potential risks in design projects and work proactively to mitigate them.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department by implementing new processes, tools, and technologies to enhance productivity.
- Encourage a culture of innovation by exploring new design approaches and system solutions.
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
