Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Government Contracting (GovCon) or Navy projects and advanced proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings. Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards, is required. This is a 3 month contract to direct hire and is hybrid 2-3 days per week onsite.
\n- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for various projects, ensuring they meet technical, government, and industry standards
- Use advanced CAD tools to create detailed mechanical models and drawings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and deadlines
- Conduct feasibility studies and testing to verify designs meet performance and safety requirements
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Evaluate and improve existing mechanical systems and processes
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
