JOB SUMMARY: The Sr. Desktop Support Technician provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites. The major support areas are: IT Operations and Maintenance; Plans, Projects, and Engineering (PP&E). The senior leaders and national defense missions that are supported require that the AFNCR operations never fail, resulting in a fast-paced, challenging, but also rewarding environment

$85,000 - $90,000 biweekly

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide Tier 1 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problem.

Plan and manage the move and/or standup of offices supporting customers.

Engage with external service providers to test/order network services.

Coordinate with internal service providers to ensure telephones/printers/etc are in place for office moves or standups

Prepare new compute assets for installation or distribution to customers.

Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to management and internal customers.

Effectively communicate and directly engage with customers and colleagues.

Hands-on diagnose desktop related issues.

Work independently to resolve technical issues in a dynamic environment.

Focus on superior customer satisfaction.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

BA degree or 4 - 8 years of prior or relevant experience

Current Security ce or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT level II certification.

Currently possess a final DoD Secret security clearance (not interim)

Excellent communication skills

Demonstrated technical experience and understanding of virtual and physical support systems

Able to demonstrate an analytical and systematic approach to technical challenges

Active Directory Systems Administrator experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience using Remedy

IT field service experience

Experience at the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB).

Knowledge of Air Force, Pentagon, and/or AFNCR operations.

MUST BE U.S. CITIZEN (Must have active SECRET Clearance)

Salary : $85,000 - $90,000
