What are the responsibilities and job description for the California Licensed Attorney with Unlawful Detainer Experience (Remote and Contract) position at Latitude Legal?
Latitude is seeking an attorney with experience handling unlawful detainer actions for engagement work with an AmLaw 100 firm. Interested candidates must be California licensed and have experience handling unlawful detainer actions on the landlord side. Work is completely remote but the successful candidate must be licensed in California. This can be either a part-time or full-time position.
Responsibilities of the California Licensed Attorney with Unlawful Detainer Experience (Remote and Contract):
The annualized compensation for this position ranges from $175,000 to $200,000. Pay is based on numerous factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials and location. In addition to salary, Latitude Engaged Professionals are W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan. Benefits-eligible Latitude employees receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D and professional liability insurance. Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.

- Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, discovery requests and responses, legal correspondence, etc.
- Handle all aspects of discovery, hearings and trial preparation
- Communicate clearly both orally and in writing

- J.D. from an accredited, preferably first-tier, law school
