Latitude is seeking a California licensed litigation attorney with product liability experience for a contract position at an AmLaw 100 firm with a national litigation practice. The successful candidate must be California licensed and have 5 years of product liability experience as an associate, senior counsel or partner at a large or boutique law firm. The successful candidate will be assisting on evaluating the strengths of product liability cases and regularly communicating with the client and co-defense counsel on issues related to the workup of those cases. This role is primarily behind the scenes and will involve a lot of case specific document review and legal research on California specific issues. It will likely not involve handling of depositions or written discovery. It is a completely remote role (anywhere in the United States but living in the Austin, Texas area is a plus).
Responsibilities of the California Licensed Litigation Attorney with Product Liability Experience (Contract and Remote):
The annualized compensation for this position ranges from $175,000 to $210,000. Pay is based on numerous factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials and location. In addition to salary, Latitude Engaged Professionals are W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan. Benefits-eligible Latitude employees receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D and professional liability insurance. Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.

- Efficiently and competently research complicated legal issues
- Draft memoranda of law, reports, settlement memos, legal correspondence, etc.
- Communicate clearly both orally and in writing
- At least 5 years of product liability litigation experience at a large law firm or a boutique law firm
- Licensed and in good standing in California
- Significant experience litigating matters in California courts
- J.D. from an accredited, preferably first-tier, law school
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-service-driven law firm setting
