Latitude is seeking an experienced attorney to support one of its Alternative Business Structure (“ABS”) clients headquartered in Arizona. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner with a first-party commercial and residential insurance background to be part of a new business in an innovative program enabled by the Arizona Supreme Court. The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced strategic thinker with strong legal acumen and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This candidate will be responsible for supervising and managing a high-quality first-party insurance practice and working closely with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services. This candidate will also work closely with the ABS’s “Compliance lawyer,” as that term is defined by Arizona Code of Judicial Administration Section 7-209, to ensure compliance with the rules governing ABSs.

Requirements for the Law Firm Managing Attorney:
- 6 years of experience working on first-party commercial and residential insurance matters at a reputable law firm
- Work closely with the firm’s ABS Compliance Lawyer under Arizona Code of Judicial Administration Section 7-209 to ensure compliance
- Analyze the risk profile of cases that the ABS considers for representation
- Lead and manage commercial and residential property damage insurance cases from initiation to resolution
- Represent plaintiffs in federal and state courts as needed, including participating in hearings, depositions, and trials
- Provide clients with legal advice and regular updates on case developments
- Collaborate with experts, and other stakeholders to devise case strategies and theories
- Negotiate settlements and engagement in dispute resolution processes
- Stay informed of current trends, changes, and developments in property damage laws and regulations
- Maintain well-organized and accurate case files and documentation throughout the collection / litigation process.
- Assist in the recruitment, oversee and manage underlying support team
- Help the ABS along with the dedicated compliance attorney design, establish, and implement policies and procedures and update them as needed to ensure compliance with the ethical and professional responsibilities
- Support the ABS in implementing a culture of professionalism across the lawyers within the ABS, support staff, and the non-lawyer leadership team
