Responsibilities for the Mid-Level Commercial Disputes Litigation Associate:
- Oversee a portfolio of complex litigation cases from inception to resolution, including performing legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Collaborate with team members to craft and execute case strategies aimed at securing favorable outcomes for clients.
- Lead the discovery process by conducting depositions and witness interviews, as well as managing all related activities.
- Prepare and present motions and briefs in both state and federal courts.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients to keep them informed about case developments and to negotiate settlements when appropriate.
- Stay updated on the latest legal trends, developments, and best practices in litigation.
- Support business development efforts through client presentations and participation in networking events.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the North Carolina State bar and in good standing or eligible for the North Carolina Bar.
- Clerkship or journal experience is preferred but not required.
- 3-5 years of experience practicing litigation law, with a focus on commercial litigation preferred.
- Strong litigation skills, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make strategic decisions.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
- Experience with electronic discovery and litigation support tools preferred.

- Compensation: The salary range for this role is $200,000 to $265,000 . Pay is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
