Senior Corporate Counsel

This is a great opportunity to join the legal department of a dynamic renewable energy company. You will report directly to the General Counsel and have a varied portfolio and close interaction with the business team. This role is well-compensated and offers the opportunity for advancement.

As Senior Corporate Counsel, you will have responsibilities across a variety of legal matters, including transactional, regulatory, corporate governance, and general commercial contracts. The successful candidate will be collaborative, detail-oriented, and embrace variety while working independently. Experience with an Am Law 200 law firm and/or the legal department of a public or private energy company is required.

Minimum Qualifications for the Senior Corporate Counsel

• 8 years' experience in transactional legal work. Experience in engineering, procurement, and construction contracts and commercial contracts is a must. Other experience of importance includes general corporate; O&M contracts; community solar subscription agreements; interconnection agreements; and energy regulatory legal matters.
• JD degree, admitted to practice law in Georgia or able to qualify under in-house counsel exception.
• Experience in the energy industry is required; renewable energy experience preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials and graduation from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Outstanding references.

Position Details of the Senior Corporate Counsel

• Type of role: Permanent
• Schedule: Full-time
• Location: Atlanta, GA (hybrid remote, Monday-Thursday in-office, Friday remote)
• Compensation & Benefits: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience

Compensation:

• Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $215,000 to $240,000 in base salary, as well as an annual incentive compensation. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work location, work experience, qualifications, and credentials.
• Benefits: In addition to pay, the full benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plans and generous leave policies. Relocation assistance is possible.
