We Are Hiring: Host/Support Team Member
Latitude Seafood Co. Chesterfield is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Host/Support Team Member to join our team. As the face of the restaurant, you will create a warm and inviting experience for every guest while supporting the team in maintaining smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Host/Support Team Member at Latitude Seafood Co.:
- Be the face of the restaurant, greeting guests warmly and ensuring a welcoming first impression.
- Create a positive and engaging atmosphere by interacting with guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Manage the seating chart, organize reservations, and coordinate table assignments to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortably seated with menus and aware of any specials.
- Handle phone calls, provide information about the menu and hours, and process takeout orders accurately.
- Work in a support capacity by assisting the team with food running, bussing tables, and resetting dining areas to maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Clear and sanitize tables promptly to prepare for the next guests.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit, addressing needs or concerns and escalating to management if necessary.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up and organizing the host station and ensuring cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Adhere to all company policies, health and safety standards, and sanitation requirements.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand and move for up to six hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a consistently positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a proactive approach to supporting colleagues and enhancing the guest experience.
