Position Summary

The Chief Clinical Director will provide strategic leadership and clinical oversight to ensure the highest quality of care within the organization's Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs. This role is responsible for driving clinical excellence, ensuring compliance with industry standards, developing clinical teams, and collaborating across departments to achieve organizational goals.

As a member of the executive leadership team, the Chief Clinical Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organization and expanding its impact within the community. This includes identifying new opportunities for growth, refining service delivery models, and leveraging data to inform clinical strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based ABA services.
  • Ensure clinical programs adhere to the highest standards of ethical and professional practice, aligned with BACB guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain systems for monitoring clinical quality and outcomes.
  • Drive innovation in program delivery and clinical interventions to meet diverse client needs.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with all departments to ensure client and staff needs are addressed.

Team Development and Supervision

  • Recruit, train, and mentor clinical staff, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Provisional Licensed Behavioral Analysts (PLBAs), and Student Analysts.
  • Develop and implement ongoing training programs to promote professional growth and development.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement among clinical teams.
  • Conduct performance reviews of Lead BCBAs
  • Strategic Planning and Growth

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to set strategic goals for clinical services and growth initiatives.
  • Analyze trends and data to identify opportunities for service expansion and innovation.
  • Build partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to increase access to services.
  • Stay abreast with local and national industry trends.
  • Assist withbstrategic initiatives of new clinic markets.
  • Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as insurance and funding requirements.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to uphold clinical and ethical standards.
  • Oversee the organization's response to audits, grievances, and other compliance-related matters.
  • Operational Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, billing, and administrative teams to optimize service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Provide input on budget planning, resource allocation, and technology integration to support clinical operations.
  • Requirements

    Qualifications

    Education and Certification

  • Master's or Doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current BCBA or BCBA-D certification required.
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst (where applicable by state law).
  • Experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience in ABA, including 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing successful clinical programs.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children with autism and developmental delays.
  • Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Expertise in data-driven decision-making and program evaluation.
  • Knowledge of funding sources and payer requirements in the ABA industry.
