Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer with a robust background in Department of Defense (DOD) cybersecurity protocols, preferably with experience supporting Army initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess 7 years of overall cybersecurity experience, expertise in network security, threat analysis, and incident response within high-security environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions to protect DOD systems, networks, and applications from cyber threats.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration testing to identify and remediate potential security risks.
- Develop and enforce security policies and protocols in compliance with DOD standards, including RMF, STIGs, and other DOD guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into development, testing, and deployment cycles.
- Lead threat-hunting efforts and monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for potential threats.
- Support incident response processes, including forensic analysis, root cause analysis, and reporting.
- Provide training and guidance to teams on cybersecurity best practices, protocols, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to system security and ensure continuous improvement in security posture.
