What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spanish Interpreter position at LATN?
LATN is currently seeking freelance **ONSITE** Spanish interpreters with at least one year of interpreting experience.
THIS IS NOT A FULL-TIME POSITION-This is a freelance position with assignments available within flexible business hours, Monday through Friday.
Duties:
- Provide interpreting services as an independent contractor in medical and social services structures.
- Comply with the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) Code of Ethics and HIPAA regulations.
- Perform duties in a professional manner.
- Turn in client worksheets and invoice within 24 hours of appointment.
Qualifications:
- Must demonstrate fluency in English and a 2nd language.
- Must have flexibility to accept assignments during weekdays and business hours.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Awareness of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
- Able to comply with credentialing requirements for independent contractors working in healthcare facilities.
- Able to pass language proficiency and Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice test
- Must be punctual and responsible.
