DEPARTMENT MANAGER - MAINTENANCE    

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE DEPARTMENT MANAGER - MAINTENANCE

  • Oversees preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical).
  • Identifies equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield.
  • Evaluates equipment improvements; reviews detailed data; analyzes data and reports results.
  • Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance).
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses difficult, infrequent problems with equipment.
  • Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and writes equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Identifies and manages capital projects/improvements.
  • Proven experience with CMMS, PM systems and RCM programs.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED FOR THE DEPARTMENT MANAGER - MAINTENANCE

  • High School diploma required. 4-year college degree preferred or demonstrated equivalent experience as determined by department management.
  • Three or more years’ experience in a manufacturing, engineering, staff support position or other relatable role.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Effectively coaches, gives performance feedback and provides development opportunities within or across areas or departments.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend new equipment, and process and maintenance technologies.
  • Ability to operate a computer workstation.
  • Ability to work in a production-oriented environment.
  • Ability to direct and supervise others.
  • Ability to objectively evaluate employees and their performance.
  • Ability to train and develop others.
  • Ability to work under frequently changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Project management skills.
