As a barista, you’ll not only craft exceptional beverages but also play an essential role in the logistical setup and transportation of our mobile coffee cart. This position is perfect for those who are passionate about coffee, enjoy working in dynamic settings, and possess practical skills in managing event-based setups.
Barista Skills and Responsibilities:
- Event Preparation and Breakdown: Actively participate in the assembly and disassembly of the mobile coffee cart at event locations. Ensure that the cart and all equipment are securely transported to and from venues.
- Coffee and Tea Promotion: Educate and engage customers about our premium illy Caffè and Dammann Frères tea, and sell coffee and tea-related products.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service by welcoming guests, determining their preferences, and making personalized beverage recommendations.
- Beverage Preparation: Skillfully prepare a variety of coffee and tea beverages following specific recipes and presentation standards.
- Inventory and Equipment Management: Manage and organize inventory, maintain brewing and serving equipment, and ensure supplies are well-stocked and orderly.
- Operational Efficiency: Maintain operational readiness through routine equipment checks, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Uphold high standards of sanitation and safety in accordance with company policies and health regulations.
Work Hours & Benefits:
This role offers flexible scheduling with shifts tailored around event timings, which may include weekends and evenings. Looking for 15/20 hours per week.

Barista Qualifications / Skills:
- Adaptability: Thrive in a mobile setting with the ability to adapt to different event environments smoothly.
- Technical Skills: Experience with or willingness to learn the assembly and disassembly of mobile units and related equipment.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Excellent at managing supplies and maintaining order during busy events.
- Customer-focused: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of handling physical demands including lifting and moving equipment as required.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in coffee service, catering, or event setup is highly valued.
- Familiarity with operating, transporting, and maintaining portable coffee and tea equipment is a plus.
